Pregnancy, Birth and Babies

Over these days we will explore practical approaches for working with mum and baby together both before and after birth.

We will gain an overview of the developmental needs and challenges of mothers and their babies from pre-conception and conception, through pregnancy and prenatal experience, to birth and the post-natal period. We’ll explore birth from the baby’s point of view, developing practitioner skills for working within the family field and learning how to recognize and gently support the resolution of trauma incurred through the process of childbirth. This seminar will include some personal process work as a way to understand and be ready to meet this potentially activating territory more clearly, providing therapeutic skills which can be put to use with clients straight away.

Each day will include guided meditative and perceptual processes, lectures and presentations, table work and sharing.
